THE ROTT OF A GALV PIPE

We got a call at an apartment building that was using twice the amount of water then all the previous months that have passed. so we came over to do an inspection around the building checking for any wet areas. now this one was any easy one, the leak was under the pavement which was wet so we did a bit of digging and a few minutes later we found a galvanised pipe rotten from the inside out. Now i know this building and it wasnt built too long ago so the pipe rusted too quick, this is because the pipe was exposed to cement and river sand which is not good for a galvanized pipe. solution is densol tape which during the installation of the pipe must be wrapped around the pipe to prevent corrosion and rust when the pipe has to be installed underground.
